Colour Matching & Tinting Policy
1. Colour Matching Is Provided as a Guide Only
We do our best to match tinted Venetian plaster and microcement products as closely as possible to your selected colour, reference sample, or previous order. However, due to the natural characteristics of lime-based decorative finishes, microcement products and similar decorative finishes, an exact colour match cannot be guaranteed.
Colour can be affected by a number of factors outside our control once a product leaves our premises, including:
- Substrate condition and preparation
- Lighting conditions in the room where the product is applied
- Application technique and tool choice
- Number of coats and burnishing/polishing method
- Natural variation between production batches
Slight colour variation resulting from these factors is a normal characteristic of hand-applied, lime-based, microcement and similar decorative finishes. It is not considered a product defect or manufacturing fault.
2. Batch Variation
If you order the same colour on a separate occasion, for a top-up, extension, or repair, we cannot guarantee it will be an identical match to product from an earlier batch. Natural variation between batches is expected with these products. Where a project may require future top-ups, we recommend ordering sufficient product in a single batch at the outset.
3. Always Approve a Sample Before Ordering
We strongly recommend purchasing and approving a physical sample board before placing an order for a full project. A sample allows you to assess the colour, finish and texture under your own site conditions and lighting, which is the only reliable way to confirm a colour will suit your space.
Approval of a sample constitutes your acceptance of the expected colour range and finish for your order. Once a sample is approved and a tinted order is placed, we are unable to offer a refund or exchange on the basis that the final colour differs from expectation.
4. Tinted Products and Returns
Tinted products are mixed or produced specifically for your order and are non-refundable and non-returnable for change of mind, including where the final result differs from what was expected based on a screen, photo, or verbal description rather than an approved physical sample.
